Every customer has a different new home dream. At Linwood Timber Frame, we have never sold two identical houses. |

|
In most cases, we are building a completely custom home to fit the specific purchaser's requirements. However, we are also happy to modify timeless classic designs. Choosing a timber frame home has more design elements than most homes. The objective is to create harmony between the exterior appearance and the interior timber frame to give the home that special warm feeling of comfort and style. |

Preplanning is essential for achieving a successful result. The more information you can supply about your preferences with respect to exterior style, layout, color combinations, timber look and furnishings the better. For example, timber frame is very suitable for open plan living. Many customers choose to trade off formal dining and living rooms in favor of more casual living space and larger kitchens. |

At Linwood, our design team prides itself on working with our customers to achieve the right result. We can either carry out the complete design work or work with a customer's own architect. Having the experience of designing many homes, we can keep you fully informed of current trends and your best options. |

Our drafting department uses the latest computer technology to incorporate the initial design ideas into a Dreambuilder Preliminary Plan which shows an accurate floor plan and elevations from all sides. This plan is used to make changes as required. These may be extensive or minor. No additional charge is made for changes. The changes are then incorporated into final construction blueprints. In many cases these will be used directly to input the state of the art cutting equipment used by Linwood. This guarantees internal consistency between the plans and the production of the timber components used in the actual timber frame. |

The blueprints are also suitable for obtaining planning approvals and are also used by the chosen contractor to erect the frame and build the home. In most cases, these blueprints also need to be engineered and Linwood will provide appropriate engineering stamps acceptable to local planning departments. You can depend on Linwood to give you the best possible design for your new home. |
